Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-12
If you live in California (CCPA/CPRA), or in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you can require that your personal information not be sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page sets out how to exercise that right with Elbowreach.
The Effect of Opting Out
The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.
Scope of This Right
- The honest description: there is no monetary sale of your data. But where advertising is served here, cookie and advertising identifiers may pass to advertising partners, and the broad statutory definitions can treat that as a sale or a share. Rather than split hairs, we let you opt out of it.
- The opt-out is not limited to subscribers: any of readers interested in Elbowreach browsing elbowreach.com can use it.
Exercising the Opt-Out
The quickest route needs no message from you at all: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser or as an extension. We detect and honour that signal automatically on every visit. Alternatively, set your preference in the cookie consent banner where one is shown, or email hello@elbowreach.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ as the subject line. No account is needed, and we do not require you to create one.
The full list of applicable state rights lives in the State Privacy Notice.
